Blue Monday, Begone!
January can be a tricky month for motivation and morale, with the onset of sniffle season and the indulgences of Christmas already feeling all too long ago (no matter how many times we rewatch BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Jay's Jive on Youtube... go on, that'll perk you up).
Breaking into an impromptu jive on the cookery demo set would certainly be one way to wake up a melancholy crowd, but arguably a more appropriate way to beat the blues and uplift your audience would be through considered use of colour, aroma and ingredients.
Demonstrating a recipe or product that uses vanilla or lavender will create an aromatic route to producing endorphins, with dark chocolate and spices initiating their quick release. Top that off with a colour pop and you have a powerful combination that will have your audience skipping up for samples!
